Wall painting

I took Deccan Queen and reached home 2 hours before time. Rishabh, like always, came to pick me up. This time he came with Wishu mama. As I entered home, Geeta warned me, "Don't give him any goodies, you will be shocked to know what he did today." And she told me the entire story.

Few days back I had gone with Rishabh to buy a large paint brush. It was meant for Geeta; to paint the flower pots. Rishabh wanted to use it from the same day. This Friday, when he was all alone, he took the brush and painted the entire wall for eternity. In few minutes, his postal colours spread to the farthest end of wall where his little hands could reach.

After creating the masterpiece, he took stock of the situation and asked his favourite question in his mind "Mumma, aap ko accha lag raha hai." He knew the answer is BIG NO. So logically, he took upon himself to clean the room, so he got a bucket full of water from his bathroom and started cleaning up. Room was big, so he required "More, more, more, more, more and more water", so he turned the bucket upside down. (It was fun to see him explaining this, his hands moving from top to down and crossing in between while he bent.) Colours lying on the floor melted in the water and flowed with it in all the direction. To make things better, Rishabh got the rug and started cleaning.

As the big rug was moved with the little hands, colours in the water followed it to create patterns; another piece of Michealangelo on the floor. By the time Rishabh could realise, his art has flown from his room to drawing room through the dining table, chair, cabinet and the kitchen. He could not manage and left, leaving Geeta and mausi to clean the entire house.

I wish I could take a picture. Though I plan to upload picture of his wall masterpiece.

  1. Well, actually our neighbour Sonal had fractured her toe, so i was going out with Sonal to get her medicines. Rishabh had just started to paint the wall then. Before leaving I just reminded him of the rule of the house, The one who creates the mess, cleans the mess.clean the mess after you finish...unfortunately he tought he had to clean the wall... instead of the floor.
And given the fact that what a water animal he is, once his room was flooded with water, there was no stopping
