Rishabh ‘Papa, Pair kyon hota hai’
I said ‘Crocodile aye to Rishabh ko bhagu bhagu jane ke liye.’ ‘Cycle chala ne ke liye.’'Panu ko pakad ne ke liye.'
Rishabh ‘Nahi, ball to kick karne ke liye.’
Rishabh ‘Hath kyon hota hai’
Thinking what will be the right answer, I replied ‘Khana khane ke liye.’ ‘Ladu khane ke liye.’ ‘Mmmmm… Rakshak ko pkad ke gol gol ghuma ke phekne ke liye.’
Rishabh kept nodding his head in displease and said very casually ‘Ball to throw karne ke liye.’
He moved to look out for better company.

Rishabh's Brainpower - "Oh!! papa jaise tum jaoge"
I have to make a note of this incident. I am taking long leave from office. The ISABS lab, a training, happens to be scheduled during my leave. Geeta is planning to attend it. The lab is in Hyderabad, so she was thinking to leave Rishabh with me for a week.
I jumped to the idea, forgoing my other important plans (that I do not wish to disclose here). We had to ask Rishabh about it. So, Geeta asked him if he is ok to stay with me for a whole week. She said I will wake him up, dress him and drop him to school, pick him, feed him etc... And Geeta will not be there with him.
He did not understand and kept saying he will need Geeta. After some talking he started saying yes to some activities. So, we conculded he is ok. Though Geeta was little sekptical.
But, in the end, like a savant he understood what we, poor souls were trying to say. He said "Oh!! papa jaise tum jaoge" (I leave every Monday to Bombay and am back on Friday). And both of us looked at each other and smiled. It was the simplest way to put the idea across.
And the hugs followed...
